How We Got Started

ShippGittR didn’t start as a business plan.
It started as a joke… and a gut punch.

After years of pouring everything I had into coaching, leadership, and building programs that shaped athletes and families, the doors to my previous role closed — suddenly and completely — due to circumstances far outside my control. Overnight, stability disappeared. Responsibility didn’t.

I had a family to provide for.
A calling to keep moving forward.
And zero room to sit around feeling sorry for myself.

So I did what I’ve always taught: control what you can control and go to work.

I joked on social media that since I suddenly had “extra time,” I might as well start hauling junk. That joke turned into a pickup truck, borrowed tools, long days, sore backs, and knocking on doors. What started as a way to make ends meet quickly turned into something much bigger.

ShippGittR was born out of necessity — but it’s been built on purpose.

We don’t just remove junk.
We help people clear space — physically and mentally.
We show up when things feel overwhelming.
We do the work others don’t want to touch.

Every job we take on is done with the same standards I’ve lived by my entire life: discipline, integrity, consistency, and effort. No shortcuts. No excuses. No half-done jobs.

As ShippGittR grew, so did the mission.

Much of what we haul still has value — and instead of dumping it, we repurpose it. Through partnerships with our nonprofit efforts and community organizations, items are donated, resold, or reinvested to help fund youth athletic opportunities, scholarships, and families in need. Your clutter becomes someone else’s opportunity.
